The "Enhanced source view" ( is really cool. I would like to have such a source view for my own projects too. So I wanted to ask if it would be possible to open-source this web application?

Unfortunately we don't have plans to open-source it in the near future. This is more of an early prototype that we're testing in the wild, it'd be too early to say that others can easily use this for their projects. However if you feel like you'd really like it, you can submit a request on and it will certainly help us assess the demand for it.

to follow on from this, would you ever consider adding full-text search to the source browser?

I know I can type the following in my favourite search engine:
site: PERF:
But it would be nicer if it was done directly in the reference source browser, maybe using something like Lucene to power it?

So it's not really ready for primetime (It has 1/10th the features of Microsoft's) but I've been working on a source browser with a friend this past week.

It doesn't have search yet, and only supports linking between methods, properties and types, but it's a start. It's open source at: We'd love it if you wanted to help us add some features or report any issues you have with it.

You can browse the generate code at:

You can upload C# Repositories from GitHub. (It's currently pretty buggy as we need to have 100% of the required dependencies to compile your project).
