Hi,

I wonder whether the http://referencesource.microsoft.com/ web application is also available for others to publish their source code on their web servers?

Thanks,

I'm building a similar service at http://sourcebrowser.io

It's really in the early stages, but I'm hoping you'll be able to upload your own projects and browse the static HTML that's generated. The generator is also open source if you're interested in helping out.

Cheers,
Josh

Hi Josh, thank you for your notice, that is an interesting alternative.

Anyway, assuming the Roslyn team was involved in building the reference source browser, I am looking if there were any thoughts about making it available (or even open source) by the team.

Definitely no plan to opensource it by Microsoft: https://twitter.com/KirillOsenkov/status/520350976083906560

(I've been bugging them to open it up for new projects for months, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen either)

I see. I would be happy to use it even if not open sourced, but well, thank you for the info!

I guess couple of people will write their own browsers then...
